just had a wee read through the build and completely agree priorities change when little people come along although not long till he will be helping out with the lude no doubt that's my aim if im honest. If I can show my son even the basics on a car it will help him in the long run.
Awesome lude btw I love the colour of the rocker.

Oh, hang on, congratulations.... That's the right word to use, yeah, congratulations!

Anyway, glad to see you're still around Alex, and that one of the nicest looking Preludes ever in these parts will be living on!
Very funny Garry - made me chuckle. Of course I cant't comment as the wife screens my activity like the Gestapo :D

Thanks everyone for the kind comments, can't wait to get cracking with the car work which will be a refreshing alternative to changing nappies!

Okay people, I know I've dropped off the radar but I've learned children take priority over cars and forums.

Good news is I still have my lude, but she is very tired and in need of an overhaul. The dreaded rusted arches have shown their ugly face again and the lacquer on certain repaired panels is shot. Car needs stripping and some TLC. Watch this space...Glad to be back...

What is the general view on removing ac and cruise control. I never use them and could be weight saving plus clears up engine bay.

Anyone ever removed them and regretted it, I'd be interested in hearing first hand experiences when removed and what to look out for. thank you

Welcome back buddy :)

I've only ever had cruise control on one lude before, I never used it, although never removed it either.

Aircon I've removed on two lude's now. It's simple to do... Just follow the pipe work. Again, I never really used it, I'm a Windows down kinda guy ;)

I know @RattyMcClelland regretted removing it and so reinstalled all new pipework.

It'll lose you 12.4kg if you remove it.

I've found it really useful on some journeys. And in the winter, the quicker demist is handy.
The aircon on our ATR is knackered and we miss it.

Being a fellow Lude owner with sprogs, the wife's CRV is a great family car but the one thing it lacks is cruise control. I have it in the lude and I do miss it when I drive hers, just depends on how you use your car though!
