well i'm not bringing all of the stuff over from puk as most of it is crap! but i shall cover some of the bits and bobs!

This is how i found her,
Image
i bought it as a short term car after i sold my Audi cabriolet  ! she had a miss fire but a bit of tax and ticket so i handed all the money a cash machine would give out at once and was a proud owner of a 1992 jdm prelude!
I joined PUK and found I had stumbled rather blindly onto a bit of a bargain! some rare bits and bobs fitted include rear parking sensors, zebra mats, wind deflectors, cornering lights, LSD box, SPOON chipped ECU and a FGK exhaust manifold!

took her home, fitted some plugs which solved the missfire!

the weekend after i took her to santa pod and ran a 15.1, not bad for a full weight lude on crappy tyres with a fatty driving ! :|

First mods

Post by 4thgenphil » Thu Feb 16, 2012 8:24 pm

So then the modifying began!

this is how i started:-

- changed the exhaust from the super restictive cat back exhaust (not standard possibly taken from a reliant robin) and big boy 2 back box (yes thats what it was called) to a greddy evo 2 exhaust and a de-cat made/modified by i tuned
-changed the ht leads as they weren't the right ones for the car to magnacore 85's
-e bay intake pipe mated to a K+N k57i intake pie and filter which so the filter sits where the resonator box resided creating a sort of cold air intake
- front and rear upper strut braces withe the 4ws ecu mounted with longer bolts so the it still sit on the original mounting points 8)
- koni yellow adjustable struts and H+R spings lowering her by around 40mm
- rota slipstream 16'' alloys in sexy black with uniroyal rains sport
- cold air feed from the bumper to the filter
- clear side marker lights replaced with amber reflectors
- number plate moved (i like it as it shows of the shape of the bumper)
- rear wiper removed and spoiler sprayed matt black
- obx rad hoses

How she looked before lowering

So one day i awoke early on a satuday morning at the time i was meant to be in work  quiet roads with vtec i wasnt all that late in the end :? but with devastating results, the water pump decided that it was time to dump coolant everywhere! I left a large puddle at the gate whilst chatting to my mate (hey, i was already late :D ).

This was when i decided it was time to get serious, so i dusted off the trusty Peugeot 306 and parked the lude up over winter!

I started first by changing the cam belt and carrying out a manual tensioner conversion found on the h23.
this is where i found this, aloose outer pulley ring!! lucky i found it really

Whilst she was off the road I also stripped all the suspension off and most of the underbody gubbins so I could wax oil and under seal the surprisingly rust free 4th gen!
I found a fair bit of corrosion on the top side of the fuel tank so stripped that back fully to find it to only be superficial!

And a bit of underseal, everywhere!
