Rear windows re-tinted

Post by simonc » Wed Aug 30, 2017 3:34 am

Hi Everyone, just a quickie to share my latest little addition to Blue Beauty. Just wanted the cabin to keep cooler, (and make it look slightly more menacing, in a nice way), so I asked the tint guys to work on the rear windows for me. I had the rear window and the two side windows increased to 65%. Not strictly legal but nice nevertheless. Sorry the photos don't really capture the tint, but inside, it does make a great difference.
Yes, that is a duster on the roof. Time for your close up, Miss Prelude.

Thanks lads.

, , that was the look I was trying to avoid. ;)

The MD of the tint shop draped a sheet of film on the windscreen, to let me see what 65% looked like. It was fantastic, really menacing - elegantly so, of course - but I'm afraid my confidence in my eyesight, especially at night, wouldn't be up to the job of seeing things clearly enough.
It was a pity, as I'd love to have done it. Still, it looks nice as is, so I'm chuffed with the new tints. :D

As it's the monsoon season here, it's been bucketing it down almost every day for the past three flaming weeks. Anyway, as it's nearly the end of my business year, I couldn't be arsed to go to the office, so I bunked off to wash the car and let her dry out in the sun. I took these as i thought she looked pretty good, and hope you guys enjoy a quick butchers in the hot sun. By the way, it was 34 degrees C while I was taking the shots. ;) Phew, wot a scorcher.

Morning guys and thanks. sol-lude, I park it under the porch at night, when for some reason, it seems to rain the heaviest this year. However, if one of these storms hits in the afternoon, it gets a real drenching. It's been especially bad this year with quite a lot of serious flooding on the East coast.
As I'd bunked off yesterday, it just gave me a chance to clean her up and let some warm (actually, bloody hot) air inside.

As long as she is safe that's the main thing would hate to think of how many cars get damaged in bad weather.
