After getting the timing belt changed and having a basic service, the next thing to sort out was the bodywork.

July 2008

After a month of ownership I’d bought and fitted some clear side repeaters, JDM wind deflectors, a new ‘DOHC VTEC’ badge for the rear and some Kanji decals (Honda) for the rear quarter windows.

Fujitsubo Exhaust

July 2008

Fujitsubo, established in 1937, is the most respected performance exhaust manufacturer in Japan and is well-known in the market for its superior power output, craftsmanship and durability.

I decided to fit it all myself. :o

New Lambda O2 Sensor and De-Cat

March 2011

Solid Fab’ de-cat and NGK/NTK O2 lambda sensor.
I ordered the lambda sensor from RockAuto in the US (NTK/NGK part # 24169).

De-Coked the EGR Valve

March 2011

Coked up!!
Image

I cleaned out the worst of it with a small wire brush and a couple of pipe brushes.

This is what came out of it.
Image

After removing the worst of the loose stuff I gave it a good blast with carb’ cleaner.

Finally, I re-fitted it with a new gasket (Honda part # 18715-PB2-000), and put some anti-seize copper lubricant on the stud threads.
