Col's White BB4

Here is my profile for my White BB4 2.2 Si vTec, H22A LSD...
The Mod list that I have built up over the last few months is quite a sparse one, simply because I have been trying to get information on what is actually fitted, what isn't and then check to confirm... Here are a few things about my 'lude : -
When I gladly handed over the keys for my Golf V6 4Motion in a swap deal for the 'lude I was told that it had a v2 spoon chip fitted (found out it is one of the ones Rob supplies on the forum), after whipping out the ecu I confirmed this was not the case as the chip was actually unfitted in with the paperwork, this is on my "to fit" list, but as I have no instructions I may just purchase another to make sure it is the correct one.
She has a kaizenspeed tensioner kit fitted as well as a blue long arm induction kit, 4 branch manifold into a straight through exhaust with 4" Jap backbox, I am unsure if this is of any particular make as it looks unbranded but it really sounds the nuts, she pops and bangs like a trooper.
She is fitted with 18" Custom alloys painted in the same colour code as the car.... Again I am unsure of what they are or where they came from. I have heard they were imported from the states and are some form of Acura brand alloys but I have not found anymore information on these as of yet. She is also lowered on springs, unsure by how much and what brand of springs.
The dash lights up like a Christmas tree!! Not due to engine lights, but infact due to the Apexi air flow convertor and other
gauges that have been fitted. It has a air/fuel mixture gauge, which is actually really annoying as it waves in an array of colours making it look like I have fitted a cheap disco ball to the dash! The other two are just as annoying, both the coolant
temperature gauge and oil temperature gauge have a blue blacklight... Which when reflected off the windscreen at night makes me drop a brick as it looks as if the plod have given me the lights from behind!
This is a brief profile as I have limited information on what people over the past years have actually done to her, as jobs are completed I will update as I go, but this is more of a long term mod as I go sort of thing so I wouldn't expect any major
overhauls for the time being..
If anyone does infact have anymore information on my 'lude please feel free to get in touch so I can update the profile accordingly.
Below is part of my "to do" list, with a brief description behind the method in my madness!
- Replace the HID kit as the old one got jealous of the "disco" I was having in the car and decided to contribute with its very
own strobe show!
- Relocate the gauges and Apexi convertor from their "pods" on the dash into the smoked screen. This will in theory prevent them glaring off the screen and making it look like I am being pulled over.
- Get the V2 spoon chip fitted, either fit the one that I have or purchase another so I know that it is definitely the correct
one.
- Reconnect oil temp gauge. At the moment it will not be connected into the engine until I locate a better place for it to go.
Previous owner fitted it in the oil filter causing a minor oil leak, wasn't having none of that so I whipped it out and now I have an engine bay temperature gauge!!
- **FITTED** Install bonnet raisers. This is just a test on improving airflow around the engine, and with my temporary engine bay temperature gauge I can see if this does infact improve airflow. The increase in general engine sounds and vTec roar is actually a major plus however!! I am still a bit reserved on the appearance of this though. (Pics in next section).
- If the bonnet raisers are going to stay I need to tidy up the inside of the wings and bonnet mounts, a simple lick of paint will sort this though, but in reality I would like to redo the carbon vinyl on the bonnet to go further in to cover the white parts.
- Refurb the 18"s, I have some black 17"s that I need to fit with rubber, this will temporarily change the appearance totally but will offer me a different look for when I get creative.
- Follow the "white and blue" theme from under the bonnet onto the outside of the car and interior. Source and replace the red "H" emblems with blue ones, also do this with the alloy centres once refurbed.
These are only some of the things I would like to do, will add to the list as ideas come up and as I complete these.
If you have lasted this long reading through all that then well done. I can go on quite a bit! If you have just come to oogle at pictures and didn't scroll straight to the bottom of the post... My Bad for not posting pictures at the top! Below are some of my 'lude (Some already posted in my "hello" thread) and a couple of the latest mod, the bonnet raisers fitted, with of course a small description to let you know what you are looking at.

The 'lude and my old ATR before it got broken for spares, regret not putting the intake manifold from the R on the lude!

The 'lude and my "other" car... A '94 Subaru WRX Import.

Just check out that ass!!

I do have some "natural without makeup" pictures

Bonnet off to give the H22 some sun

Another ass shot!

Bonnet raisers fitted...

Other view of bonnet raisers.... (Excuse the dirty alloys... White is a pig to keep clean!)
I will update this post as and when I completed things, when I get time. Will also get a picture of the dash when it gets dark later.
Regards, Col.
