I wonder if it's because I didn't use a capital "M". It never used to matter if you used the right case, as it would change it automatically, but looking at that previous tag I used a lower-case "m".

Maybe the case, the new @ based system should work around that though :)

Brill thank you Merlin! Roughly how long did you run the cheap stuff to flush out the crap after the box? Mine has done about 250 miles, so I'm wondering whether to run it a bit longer or do it now

I had a different braking procedure because of the plate diff so I was changing out gearbox fluid after only 30 mins of driving. If I were you I would change it now. I doubt you will be much swarf off the MFactory final drive.

so, swapped the ignition switch for a replacement from a breaker (honda dont do them anymore, and i couldnt find a replacement aftermarket one) and it worked.

took it for a test drive and got 2 miles down the road and the brakes are f*cked... felt like one was stuck completely on, scary as jobby to drive, need to have a good check to see whats going on.
car starts and the lights dont flicker on and off now at least... :roll:
