Original Post:

I thought I'd start a Profile thread for my new Lude (Tulip) which I will update with my plans and progress over time.

She is a 1994 JDM 2.2 DOHC Si-VTEC BB4. Imported in September 1998.

I’ve owned her for little over a week now and I'm yet to take my own photos but here are some taken from the original ad:

There’s a few things I would like to change/modify but I won’t list them yet as it all comes down to funds, and I am prone to changing my mind quite often too.

The car is in lovely condition, except for a slight bit of rust on the driver’s side A-pillar and some bubbles on the sunroof. I am hoping I can sort these issues out soon, but I don’t want the rust get the better of this one like it did with my BB3!

Mechanically, she seems good – except for a few rough idle issues. I am going to give her a service before I officially switch Ludes in June and will hopefully diagnose and fix any issues then. She has about 165k on the clock but this is still counting in km (as I have just discovered), so it has covered just over 100k miles.

That’s it so far... I hope you like :)

Cheers
Rich

Hey man, looking very sweet in that blue 8-) Out of interest, does it stall once at temp even if you've been out for a drive?

No, once it's warmed up it runs perfectly... The guy who sold me the car was very honest about this - he let me start the car up from cold and take her out for a spin. It stalled on the first couple of roundabouts as I dipped the clutch but once the temp gauge was 1/2 full it was fine. He did mention that it may need a new lambda sensor, and a service - don't know if any of these would cause it but I've ordered the bits and I've also bought some wynn's carb and air intake cleaner.

Ah sweet, doesn't sound like what I thought it might be then. Hope a wee service sorts it out man!

cant see it being the lambda sensor, i ran mine for a day or so without one even on the car and it was okay. sounds more like an iac/related problem

Cheers. Yeah I thought the same, luckily I haven't ordered a replacement lambda sensor yet but the service parts are on the way. If the problem still persists after a service then I have a checklist of things to try (from a US forum - link).
