Had one for a while, not bad. Mine needs a clean again!

Where did you get the collar for the gear gaiter? That is just what mine needs!! I haven't been able to work a way around it properly yet.
Ive taken that collar off so you can have it if u like - i used an old oem drop link bush and some velcro instead.

The pipercross panel is propper sticky to handle so should do a good job of keeping crap out the intake.

Heres a pic of the oem back box im thinking of refitting - ive painted it a sort of grey colour to match the colour of the wheels ive got on at the moment. I think 2 pipe oem back box looks better than any single pipe.

i cheated by getting an old gear knob i didn't want and ripped out the bottom alloy bit and turned it upside down in the gaitor and cable tied it from underneath ;)

Twin pipe ftw :)

Thats very kind of you bud. I'm going to have a go with some bits I have in the shed, but if it all fails I may have to take it off your hands ;)

I think it came off my old donor car BB1 - if jayjay dont want it Dbo then i will post it to you-drop me pm
the drop link bush a bit of velcro should do the job tho - i topped it off with a metal washer out of the parts bin.

Yeah the OEM back box looks good but the weight of it and sheer size - it looks like something off a volvo truck imo but looks good when fitted

Here is a quick how to ghetto fix the gear gaitor - using oem parts and some velcro
All you need is one half of an old front drop link bush, some glue and velcro, washer on top is optional - i used an old sump plug washer and sprayed it black. This is a lot better than the collar if fitted before. As its velcro that holds it in place it means dissasembly is easy should you need to remove it.

Rust update
I spent a couple of days this week tackling the rust again!
its not that bad for a 4th gen and i guess could be classed as superficial but im determined to stamp it out once and for all :x
I had already treated the rear arches and sills from inside by injecting hyrate 80 into the arches using a syringe and finishing it all off with a large dose of dynax 50 cavity wax - so it was time to tackle it from the outside...
The sills are solid as are the arches so a quick rust treatment and then some fine filler. I still need to sand the arches back down and paint them. I hoping for a good result if i take my time and do it properly. The camera ran out of juice so not that many pics...

had some help again - this time from Angus(dog) and Merlin and Leo

Then i decide to respray the back spoiler as the laquer had stated going milky in patches - camera ran out of juice so ive only got 1 pic and that is of the back boot lid and you can see the difference in the paintwork i dont know if tcut will make much difference... :?
