Good to know it's not the end of the road

Looking through the profile, some pure Prelude porn.
Understand the pain and sheer frustration at such random acts on the car.

yeah it just gets a bit wearing having to repaint and fix bumpers all the time - ive been thinking about a dash cam that can monitor parking for a while now - prices seem to have come down a fair bit so probably a good investment :)

one of my friends BB4 got damaged the other day - it had been in the bodyshop the week before getting painted - i saw the car on Saturday and it looked fantastic - this is what happened a day later.......

Aaaaargh
Can we not bring in custodial sentences for bellends that scrape and dent other cars and promptly sod off.

I was saying this to the other half, ill get the lude all sorted and a week later some numpty will prang it...its almost a dead cert.

Poor show, I know where you are mate and I know it would be difficult to get closer but get a camera in the house window on the car and hook up with a Raspberry PI into a computer fairly easy set up and cheap.
Take it none of the units at the end of the road are available yet?

A while ago I had someone hit and run the rear bumper on my DC5 so I was forced to pay £300 to repair it. A month later someone hit the front and then a week later the rear, causing even more damage than previous, its now going to cost me another £600, sometimes I feel like torching it slinging it off a cliff, I can very much understand the frustration

It's jobby to read and see the stories above, really sucks.
If these things are happening on the road outside your house and keep happening... The flip side of not paying to rent a council garage instead, becomes a bit mute (you're spending that much on repairs anyway).
That's of course assuming there is one nearby! And obviously it doesn't help that you're still paying to get round others selfishness/lack of care and respect...

problem with one of those council garages is they tend to be in secluded places and your car is then out of sight and earshot

thanks for the supportive comments - much appreciated :)

i have fixed the hole in the rear arch and tidied up the back bumper (again) :P
still need to fix the handbrake although it should pas the MOT as it is - will need to check the front brake pipe as it was an advisory last year and have another look at the slight weep from the fuel line at the tank for MOT which is due start of July.

i can see how the front gets damaged as its very difficult to guage how close you are to the front of the lude as it slopes away and you cant see it - if that makes sense
but ive bought a dash cam with parking monitor front and back so that should hopefully help - question is do i put the dash cam in the BB4 or the BB1 :?
