My Silver UKDM BB1
As it is now:
Lowered 45mm on Meister R Coilovers
Skunk 2 Megapower Exhaust
DC Sports Manifold and downpipe
Type S Intake with resonator removal and cold air feed
Climair Wind Deflectors
17 Inch Keio Alloys with Falken 452's all round
From the beginning:
I picked this up a few weeks ago from Derby and drove it back down to West Sussex. Here is a pic of it before I did anything to it:
On the drive home it became evident that the brakes needed attention. Judder under braking was apparent and they didn't inspire any confidence. I also didn't like how high the car was sitting on the 17's. I was either going to refurbish the original wheels or lower the car. In the end, as the suspension was knocking anyway I decided to go for Mesiter R Coilovers, Brembo discs and pads all round and an oil change, all work carried out by PA. Here are some pics of the car after the work and a clean:
Car sits so much better, handles really well, and stops better, so all in all I am very pleased.
There are a few issues to sort out:
- Blows in the exhaust system from the backbox and downpipe, not that noticeable yet
- Little bit of rust on the drivers side arch, these arches were done a few years back and you can't tell, I only know because the previous owner told me and provided me with a receipt for the work. For the moment I have soaked the arches with Bilt Hamber Dynax S60 which will hopefully slow things down. Pics of the rust below.

Re: My Silver UKDM BB1
You've done a beautiful job.
Clean and the car looks even better lowered.
Noticed you've got the same rust bubbles coming up on rear arches same as mine. (I have a Silver UKDM 96 4th gen).
The rust just won't go away. I've had my arches cut out and renewed twice and layered in Waxoyl, yet it still finds its way back.

Re: My Silver UKDM BB1
I had a DC Sports manifold and downpipe fitted today, along with a Skunk 2 megapower cat back exhaust and a refurbed rear anti roll bar. All work done by Performance Autoworks. Will get some updated pics up in due course.
Very happy with the way it looks and sounds
