Re: Project EX, 2.0i 5TH Gen
so yesterday my alarm goes off at 7, im up and out the door to fix the new lude.
here is what greeted me
so first to pop it up on stands,
then bumper off,
After adding some more power steering fluid you could clearly see the leak.
although there was a 2.2 lude in the yard, it was 3 high, and it had a different setup.
so i used an oil cooler pipework from a ford focus st. bent it to shape (ignore the kink)
fits a treat, bargain too, just a tenner.
hoses like pigs tails.
with the engine now oil leak free, it was time to give it a clean, starting with the engine bay. fresh coat of paint on the manifold shield and a general tidy up reveals quite a tidy little engine bay.
now for the rest of the car.
headlights first, nsf foggy, osf done
next on to the black weather strips and window edges
before
after
all i did was mask the glass and the paint, then used a scouring pad and water. then a coat of blacking gel. easy task for better looks.
next to tackle the rest of the car.
full wash
clay
g5
polish
2 coats of wax
brings this beauty.
2.0 and type s parked together
not bad for a car that cost £350, plus £10 for pipework and a fiver on fluid.
