rrobis' IVgen
Re: rrobis's IVgen
Got wheels from powder coating today and am very pleased with the result.
Tomorrow got an appointment to tire mounting and then during weekend got to go to the storage facility and get the car back on the road
Pictures doesn't really do justice, as in real life the colour is a tad darker and looks a bit different

Powder coated and lacqueredNafemanNathan wrote:Wow, what a finish!
Is that powder-coatered or sprayed? They look sprayed and lacquered.
Powder coating variations in terms of colours and sparkles are really great these days

Re: rrobis' IVgen
Managed to fail our local MOT with following issues:
Oil leak from engine/gearbox
Exhaust gases are over limit - max CO content is too large
Rear wheels are rubbing in arches
Exhaust too loud - max is 85db, mine + 100db on liftoff at 3,5k
Nothing major really, have to dedicate time and effort to fix the problems to be road legal.
Currently allowed to drive with temp permit till June 19th

Soo, long time without updates.
This year has been slightly silent due to priories change towards a baby son..
Had to lift the car, since tires were a bit too large (Yoko is much larger on the same width than previous) to keep rubbing more or less under control. Some might say it is status off-road and I'm not 100% satisfied as well, but that's the best I can get without coilovers.
Surprisingly the handling actually got better, so performance wise it was an upgrade
Managed to get a trackday under my belt as well and all I can say - ad08r is the real deal! Grip is waaay better than the driver currently can handle
A couple of pictures (and yes, kiddo already knows what to do)
Last day before putting the car away for winter and caught an animal during the transportation so now have to find bumper, bonnet, radiator, left JDM headlight and hopefully that is it, hoping that the indicators in bumper and facelift nostrils are not broken..
All more or less is ok to find, except the headlight... Open to offers
Sort of a long wrap up, but I guess it's better than nothing, right lads?

Yes, the damage is unpleasant.wurlycorner wrote:Oh that's a major bummer about the damage
That's a mega tight and twisty looking circuit you went out on!
After today's inspection:
Both headlights are drokked
bumper indicator/corner light on left side is gone
Nostrils with the bracket are missing
Front bumper and underlying bar is beyond repair
Bonnet is done
Radiator is bent and slightly leaking
Front bracket where headlights, radiator and everything else bolts on is bent, but fixable
Fog lights are ok
Everything else is intact
Quite a bit to do till spring, but I'm sure everything will be ok in the end.
Slightly unexpected season finale:
