ust about finished the polybushed koni&eibach shocks&springs - here is a pic of the rear shocks going together. Ive used superpro bushing grease on them so they dont squeak
Ooft, they are well smart!

Absolutely fantastic job on that manifold wrap too - very, very smart!
(Am confused by the colour scheme though :? )

TBH there is no colour scheme in mind i just use what i have to hand on both mani and shocks
i started out with a set of polybushes for the shocks that i think newkid kindly gave me for free as he upgraded straight to coilovers instead and then few years later i got the eibach bnib for a very reasonable price - they were on ebay and listed by part number which i recognised and then i got a set of crusty konis, few decals and a tin of yellow paint and superpro poly grease and the rest is there to see :) same with the manifold just used some heatwrap and some vht paint that was in the cupboard :P
To confuse you even more im going back to oem wrinkle black on the rocker cover - already have it ready to go on after i do the valve clearanaces.

Nice set up.
 trying to remember who had the kakimoto setup back in the day... @h10ndr was it you?
@Dino has had about every exhaust going  so I'm sure he will have experience with it?

wurly for some reason im thinking it was mart609- in fact it may be his old kakimoto. sure i read a for sale ad years ago seeing this and it was mentioned it needed rebaffled. The backbox i have has zero baffles or pipe inside its just an empty echo chamber so...loud..loud..but if it is too much them i can just put the scorpion backbox back on and that has a nice mellow tone to it :)
think im going to get it fitted at the weekend with some help from Merlin.

Oh jobby, if that has no baffles in at all... Yep, I expect that will be horribly boomy and loud :-|
I'd be scared, if I were you! :?

I assume it would originally have had something in there - have they been taken out of it then, somehow?

dreaded rust did for the internal baffles - i cleaned out the backbox and just a load of rusty chunks fell out. Lude it came of must have been sitting gathering moss and rust for years...
I bought some baffle pipe and exhaust wadding but cant see it being any easy DIY job to repair so will fit it and see....
