Below zero today and sad news that the BB1 failed its mot on quite a few items. The tester was spot on and i was able to walk round/under the car and see what needs done. Im a bit surprised at what needs done as it is only 4000 miles or so since the last MOT.
Here is a list of work that needs done for the MOT:
Handbrake just failed 1490 need to get it up to 1600
o/s front rack rod end link
n/s front cv boot split
n/s rear drop link end
Other stuff:
n/s rear trailing arm bushing deteriorated
lower dsp unit not working
small tear in pass door seal (inner)
camber out 1 deg due to bolt seized in rear lca
steering wheel slightly out/misaligned
brake pipes hard lines in wheel well need cleaned&painted (where plastic cover ends)
pass wing mirror not fully folding in/out
idle too high - need to reset/lower it before MOT retest

I have decided to put the car off the road until i can get round to fixing it up.
I do have a lot of nice parts to fit so at least when i get it back on the road it will be in fine fettle.
In the meantime im still mobile and running around in a ford focus

Nothing too fancy mainly oem with a few polybushes etc
Lots of little bits of tidying up to be done it would just bore everyone if i was to list them but i do try to keep any lude in top condition.
Sadly ive had to put the lude off the road and sorn it for the time being - my Dad insisted that i put it in his driveway so thats where it is for the next few months.

Yeah, forum is a bit dead these days! I guess a combination of winter and covid lockdown doesn't help!

charged up the battery and got it started up the other day - nice to hear it run - noticed oil was low - will check again once it is a bit milder weather.
Might get the old dsp unit out next week so i can see what the problem is and if a straight swap with a spare i have does the trick.
