Sounds plausible I guess, but equally it should help the engine breathe better, so one might outweigh the other. It wouldn't put me off, anyway (if the engine was that heavily relying on built up carbon to retain compression, then it probably isn't long for the world anyway! :D )
There are a couple of guys on here that have had their ludes terracleaned.

Hi everyone, been enjoying driving my lude recently, and have been busy, so i havent had chance to update my profile on here. A few things that i have done is had the silencer and sports cat taken out and had 2.5inch pipe welded in instead. The backbox does well as the car is still ok in low revs, but when i put my toe down, ow my it sounds amazing! will try and get a video up.

The only problem recently i have found with the car is when on the motorway, when i get to 70mph the steering wheel has a slight shake then goes if i go faster than 70 or below. Ive been reading up on this and it seems to be the tyres have uneven wear ? Could it be anything else? Or is there anything i can do to try and eradicate the problem.

Sounds like your tracking mate, my dad's Lude has a similar thing at the moment so it'll be interesting to see what the outcome of your issue is.

So you had tracking done at the same time as tyres and balancing? To be honest i've heard this so many times and its quite rare that its anything other than a balancing issue, i had the same problem myself before. I've seen a several people go back to a tyre fitter and had balancing done 3-4 times before it was right. It could also be a number of other issues like worn balljoints, driveshafts etc but id start with tyres and balancing.

Here's a quick easy way to eliminate the tyres, swap the fronts with the rears, if the vibration goes away its the tyres, if it doesn't check the tracking. If that doesn't solve it start by jacking up the front, grab the wheel top and bottom and give it a wiggle, then grab each side and do the same and look for play. If that doesn't help start looking at every joint that moves in the steering, suspension and drivetrain.

Hope that helps.
