Live and learn moment I think by the time we were lifting it out the darkness was creeping in quickly...i have however damaged the bonnet catch

It will be off next time because it's a pain to work around.

good work getting the engine out - loads of work ahead

you should have grabbed the BB1 chassis that i had - it was in very good condition and would have saved you getting the welder out

So as some may have seen firstludeand myself agreed on a swap for my one piece JDM black casing headlights for his one piece possible after market headlights.

However the plan for my headlight was to clean them and put them back onto my lude.
So I used Shiny's sanding and polishing technique to get mine cleaned up so here's a few photos of the clean up.

I'll be honest when they were all cleaned I wasn't sure if I still wanted to go ahead with it haha.

Final picture was of the headlights most of you will know or have seen.

Some before, during and afters.

Nice work there - I'd like a decent welder myself
(and a transmission jack and a new low height trolley jack and a bead blast cabinet and... )

Cheers man done this a few times now with a few sets including the ATR's and works a treat. Only advice wear some gloves when sanding save the fingers a little.
