Thanks lads. So good to finally get back out in it. I'd forgotten how much juice they like to drink though, vtec is so addictive!

I got my spot back in my old garage and decided it was time to do some much needed repairs and preventive maintenance.

I've found some rust under her and and I've an oil leak somewhere that I have to track down and fix.

Can some helpful soul point me in the direction of some cam seals and maybe a sump gasket?
Any help or advice on what else I should look at while I'm in there would be much appreciated too.

The timing cover and gearbox are coming out soon so now is the time to change as many seals as I can.

I've ten litres of Waxoyl there too.

For the oil leak...the oil cooler o ring is common. The cooler is situated between the oil filter and the engine block. You have to remove the cooler to get to the o ring.

You could be on to something there. That's an area I suspect a major leak is coming from tbh.

A tell tale for that is a burning oil smell after a freaking insane drive, as the oil drips onto the downpipe.

I found a genuine oil cooler o ring and it's on it's way.

My friend gave me this Snap-On box today, I never thought I'd own one if I'm honest. A few hours spent scrubbing it and greasing up the sliders and it came up like a new penny.

looking good after the respray :)
always nice to see a lude getting some love 8)

i have a couple of new cam seals if you feel that they need changed.
just drop me a note of your name and address. you might have to pay for postage.
might be worth checking that the crank seal if actually leaking as its not a small job to replace it...if its ok then you can pop it out carefully and add a dab of hondabond and then reseat it and fit the crank seal retainer kit. The kit also has the o ring for the bottom of the dipstick and is available from Honda or Tegiwa for about £10. The crank seal retainer bracket stops the seal popping out so is worth it for peace of mind. ;)

Much appreciated for the offer and advice. But apparently I drunkenly bought all the seals I needed last night. Along with a few bits that I probably don't!

My pal is a mechanic and he gave me the name of sealer that's be great for extra insurance around gaskets and seals.
When I'm going through everything I'm gonna take my time and button everything down properly.
Thanks again.
