Quick update, I've been gathering parts, stripping wheels, wire brushing away rust on suspension components and painting as I go.
It's coming together slowly, but I'm gonna keep tipping away until she's back on the road.
I found a rear spoiler on these forums (thanks to Stefan) which I'm delighted about.
I've ordered a new set of drilled and grooved disks with some fast road pads and changed the drop links and a couple of bushes too.

Some amount of mud caked underneath it from the work I was doing but very little in the way of rust underneath or on the bodywork.

I'm thinking of spraying them gunmetal grey.

Here's the new disks I've ordered

I hope these pictures show up!

May I ask where you sourced the thermal intake gasket from?
Good job on cleaning up the suspension, have you thought about braided brake lines to go along with your new setup?

I got it from eBay, I think it was €40 delivered from Poland. Shall I post you a link?

I'm definitely after some braided lines. And some lowering springs until I can afford some coilovers and poly bushes.

Thanks very much, I was actually shocked at how bad they were. My own fault for leaving it sat on my driveway for so long. It lives in a garage now so no more of that.

Yes for the link if you don't mind.
If I was you I would pass on the lowered springs and go straight for the coilovers. If you plan on going that route, it's probably best to wait a bit, do it once and more importantly, pay once.

Hopefully this link works.

Ordinarily I would agree with you about waiting to buy the coilovers but I'll probably only get this car on the road for 6 months this year because of the horrendous cost of road tax here in Ireland. It's €1,100 a year for a 2.2!
If I find a set of springs for a reasonably cheap price they'll tide me over until I get a proper set up over next winter.
Nothing is set in stone anyway.
