Back on the road, full tracking done, full send done. Heading to a car show tomorrow morning for the Gary Kelly cancer trust.
The car is handling fantastic, no more knocks or skweeks over rough roads and it's handling like a go kart.

I think it's finally time to install my type-r intake and Hondata.

Just wondering lads, does anyone know if the the half shafts on a 2.0 are same as the ones on a 2.2 please?
I'm struggling to find a replacement inner joint for my passenger side and I know of a 2.0 that's getting parted out over here.

I was driving to work the other morning and I lost my power steering and alternator power. My crank pulley had sheet the bed.
Managed to nurse it home but haven't had a chance to look at it since.
What's worrying me is the fact that the engine spins counter clockwise and the bolt managed to work it's way loose, a very bad sign. I've a feeling that the key way and belt got ejected along the way.
I predict bad times ahead.

If you haven't yet looked, it's more likely the outer part of the harmonic balancer has become debonded from the inner part.

Pretty rare for the pulley bolt and pulley to come off completely.

Wurlycorner recently had the same issue on his 4th gen, pretty sure he did a post with part numbers.

Yep, that bolt won't have come undone, it's the opposite - impossible to undo when you want to!

As Scott says, it's a harmonic damper (two pieces, with rubber in between bonding them together). Fails with age.

The original Prelude part was superseded by a later part for the ATR (which is compatible) but both are discontinued from Honda.
It is still possible to buy them new, old stock from places like Tegiwa, but they are *expensive* .

There are after-market ones available from a reputable brand in America, for far less - look on Rock-Auto.
I don't have any experience with them myself and I know he hasn't fitted it yet, but @Vtecmec bought one 'for stock' recently so should be able to confirm from looking at it, if he's happy with the quality?

I hope for your sake it hasn't damaged your bottom timing cover or timing belt in the process (mine had chewed up the bottom cover badly - couldn't be re-used, but fortunately not damaged the belt or timing gear underneath).
