Hi folks,
Today was the day
Drove to Hampshire in the Golf with my girlfriend to pick up our Prelude, then convoyed back home
Anyhow, I know photos are more important than words so here are a couple I took when we stopped off at Marwell zoo to make the most of our day out

She's not perfect as you can see but for a 20 year old I think she's doing well. Bodywork wise, there's only the rust on the rear arch you can see in the photo, some bubbling on the sunroof, and 3 tiny dents in one of the rear pillars where apparently a fence fell on it in a storm. The rear brake repeater needs sorting too, it's gone manky which is a shame as it's one of the 'prelude' text ones. Need a Japanese size front plate too, I'm thinking offset on a bracket. Otherwise she's good! Mechanically she drives great, apart from a bit of a crunch into 5th... I understand this is a bit of a common problem though, and as I'm used to my Golf 'losing' 5th every now and again, it wasn't a sticking point for me and I will look into it at some point. All in all very pleased for what we got for our money though
The drive home from Marwell was fantastic, the engine felt effortless on the motorway and even seemed fairly economic, I did about 130 miles on a quarter of a tank-ish (still getting my head around the bars
). Got her home in time for another photo or two before I shut her away whilst I sort insurance (was on a day's temp insurance just to get her home)

Only downside to a new car is I'm already trawling the for sale thread for nice parts to put in
