I went to a GT86 meet last weekend, I had a GT86 for a short time in-between Preludes and met some people who I now consider friends, as a result, they still invite me along to stuff, despite me not owning a GT86.

The venue was a place called Fuel Coffee House in Henfield, Sussex. It is a great little venue, specifically for car meets with some great roads around it also. They also have a professional photographer who takes a load of pictures and writes a blog. He spent more time on my car than any of the GT86's and kindly sent me some of the images he took so I thought I would add them to my thread :)

Here is the blog: https://www.fuel-coffee-house.com/2019/ ... 6-brz-meet

Here are the pics:

Funnily enough I had a GT86 Aero for about a year as well  !! They handle so well but could do with a bit more power tbh!!

Preludes looking good though :D

Yeah I had the Aero as well. All show and no go was the issue. In theory 197bhp is ok, but the way that boxer engine in the GT86 delivers the power is truly awful. There is no torque and no vtec kick or anything remotely similar in the upper revs. A lot of owners having been on a dyno only get about 185bhp rather than the quoted 197 as well. I would only ever get another if the plan was to put a supercharger or turbo in it.

Yeah that is the only problem, getting blown by turbo diesels is never fun. Especially when the aero looks like it should have some guts to it

But yeah I agree, I'd only contemplate one again if forced induction was involved :)

Thanks and yeah happy to organise something there if there is enough interest. What is latest with your car Nitin? Is the supercharger on yet?

Had to go through this thread from the beginning the other day to fix the broken picture links thanks to Photobucket. I have moved my images to Imgur now. Anyway, it made me realise how much has actually changed with the car in the last year and a bit, and all the money I have spent :wtf:

On the plus side, it is pretty much where I want it now. I would like to get the original Type S gearknob refurbed and maybe get some better front speakers in but can't think of much else. It's just about enjoying it and keeping it in the condition it is in now, both cosmetically and mechanically :)
