Lude Generation

Just got time to quick couple of pics of the new arrival.
Its a BB3 - needs work to pass MOT but it is a runner - most work is brakes & cv/steering rack boots.
Seller said it was black but it turns out to be phantom grey
Its a ukdm 1996 manual 2ws F20A
First registered 31/12/1996 so would have been one of the last off the production line and has done 115,000miles from new





Not sure what im going to do with it but i guess it will be getting fixed up

Nice , was this the one you were thinking of a turbo for?

yes was just thinking out loud about some possible future plans for this lude
i dont think i have ever driven a turbo car no i havent if you discount the 2.4 LPT Volvo 850.

My first Lude was the same colour, bodywork looks to be in decent knick - arches ok?

Thanks norks - the bodywork looks not bad and panel gaps are good - it has a rusty sunroof so a little bit of moisture has got in to the arches from the inside and have just started to rust a bit. I have a replacement sunroof panel ready to fit and some dynax s50 for the inner arches so that should sort things out.

Merlin and i have been working on getting the BB3 back on the road - there have been a few set backs but we stuck with it but i wasnt prepared for this when i turned up on Monday evening







Im gutted but still pressing ahead to finish all the mechanical work.
The spend on the car has risen sharply after the complete brake overhaul which required 2 new rear caliper and pads.
Not sure where to go with now

Thats the brakes, steering and driveshafts all finished up - this should complete all the mechanical work - test drive is up next so fingers crossed
Big thanks to Merlin for helping get this lude across the line.

Today was a good day - got all the welding done so thats both rear inner sills - happy with the work done.
So list of work done so far is:
Both rear calipers replaced with new ones & new slider pins & bolts
New set of pads on the back - genuine Honda
Refurb of front calipers & new shims
Reset handbrake
Bleed calipers/ new brake fluid
New front driveshafts both sides and 5th gen intermediate shaft
New steering rack gaiters and ps fluid topped up
Replaced the crappy cone filter with genuine Honda airbox and filter
Put in genuine Honda battery tie down
Replace sunroof panel and inner trim panel
Replace all windscreen wipers
Replace 2 pedal rubbers
Fit oem ashtray & lighter
Fit oem cup holder
Replace boot panel
Fit oem mudflaps front & back
Put in some vpower and fuel line cleaner
Weld both rear inner sills and Dynax-S50 into arches
Fix twisted seat belt
New thermostat & gasket - system flushed and new coolant added.
Still to do:

Refit oem sideskirts
Need front tracking/alignment - might need pass side track rod end...
MOT

Then its bodyshop / touch up
