Gen 4 Build

I guess i should start to log what I am doing...
Bought a Gen 4 off eBay last year, was advertised as one of the best available, and was a car from a member on this forum.
It needed some body work... but looked OK...

Its a 1996 UK spec 2.2Vtec

I used to have a Gen 3 some years ago that i modified, and thought, this time i will keep it standard....

So first up, the body work...

didnt look too bad.... so I paid to have it fixed...

Roof looked good, but rear 1/4 colour a bit off (worse on camera than in the metal)

6 weeks after the body repair I went to fully wax the cavities and underseal (its a 3rd car so lives in the garage)
here is what i found when inspected.....

basicly the rust was back.... garage who did it said they would re-do it, but now I dont trust them as they sai dthey had cut out and treated all rust...

So I deciced to go else where.... and for some reason started acquiring bits to improve the car....

As well as the bits pictured, I have a DC exhaust manifold, KYB shocks, Eibach Springs, Polybushes, new clutch, and various bits .......

Main aim being to now fit ATR Head, Cams, Inlet, Throttle ......

Currently the car is in getting the body sorted, and I am modifying the inlet manifold and re-building the over hauled head....

here are some initial picks of rust found...

and now the latest with the O/S metal repaired .....

.... and the saga continues.....
