Just thought I would let you know that the Silver BB4 passed the Mot yesterday with no advisories and given to the restorers today to start the arches.
Happy days

:D Nice one the MOT with no advisories!
I have got to say that i like what your doing with these ludes and your attention to detail 8)
I dont think you will ever regret spending money on getting the arches done on the silver lude.
Getting the paint to match perfectly will probably be the biggest challenge - silver can be the trickiest one (according to Ratty and he knows more about this than anyone else on here so get some advice from him if you feel inclined)
Best of luck and please keep this thread updated

Thanks guys, the guy said silver is easy but not what I have heard most of my life from other painters either. The restorers know I'm fussy and that I have painters that I use through my business but I want it done properly with restorers that have been doing it a long time, told him there is no rush. He recokns 2 weeks as staff is halved.
They have been doing this for 35 years they said and are going to take pictures of the progress.
Illusion custom restorations is the company I have handed it too. Fingers crossed

So its finally done
Arches with no rust  . Its took 1 1/2 years to get it done but I did treat it with kurust rust treatment and then touched it in with silver paint to keep it at bay.
I also got them to paint the rear bumper as it had a few scratches as you can see and some stress marks on the back.
Only very very minor attention to the inner arches and seals were needed

8) looks good from what i can see in the pics.
I take it that it was a clean up of the original arches and not new arch panel that were used.
