Interestingly, Ive just finished valeting the interior, not because it was dirty, but because of the smell of really stale and old tobacco smoke in the carpet and seats. I believe that LJK Setright was a prolific smoker.

He chain-smoked Russian Sobranies. Quite possibly what did for him in the end...

I always wondered what became of T392 SPA. I am so pleased it's ended up with an enthusiast.

You do realise you'll now have to smoke Sobranies in it, in order to restore its provenance.

I hope your driving skills are sufficient to terrify every passenger safely.

Not that I'm slightly envious, or anything...

PS - there's a blurred T392 in the background of a photo in the rear cover of 'Long Lane with Turnings'.

Bit of an LJKS aficionado...

Well, I've got two Hondas stuck in my garage that I rarely use any more, so I cannot condemn.

If I'd have had room to keep my former BB8, it'd be three...

That copperplate signature is what I'd have expected from Long John Kick Start.

yeah, the signature is nothing less than you would expect. im thinking of getting a decal made up of the signature just as a little nod to the previous owner.

So after months and months of inactivity I finally got the timing belt done, refitted the cat and given the old girl a general look over before going to get her tested.

A few minor jobs and hopefully it's back on the road.
