Well today is the day I finally did it. That's the bb6 on the road. Gave it a quick wash to get some pics and plan on giving it a proper going over.

What have I missed as the backstory on this one?

Couple of bits I want sorted, front bumper could definitely do with a respray, other than that fit an oem cat back. Definitely want to keep the car oem.

Bought it from Japan. Arrived May last year. Didn't mot it till other week there. Now fully registered with me as the first UK owner. Bb6 2.2 sir vtec auto. No sunroof, no 4ws, just a bulk standard bb6. Currently has a 5zigen cat back but will be going oem. 74k km so roughly 45k miles.

Plan is to use it for the 6 months so I can get few things done to the Torneo then probably sell it on. Will definitely be getting undersealed.

If planning on keeping it 6 months then keeping it oem makes sense. You will make better money.
I'm sure someone on here have a stock bb6 exhaust.

Have a stock ukdm, just need a ukdm cat or have the centre section extended to reach jdm cat.

Well that lasted long 😂

Alternator went pop, if you held the revs everything was fine, at idle tho or with any electrics on everything dimmed and rev counter shut off, it also knocked the srs light on.

Luckily I still had the silver jdm 5th gen that I was breaking, switched the alternator over and good to go again. Srs light was easy to reset.

Anyone know of any good places to rebuild the alternator? I'd like to get this done as I'm sure it's same as a 4th gen, UK alternator can be used but leaves the battery light on? @RattyMcClelland think you've been here before?
