Company is Dal performance (and Chaps called Dal)
https://m.facebook.com/d.a.lperformance1/
He does loads of metal work, his yard had several nissan 200sx's as the guys on those forums use him for a lot of work.
Cost for the metal work was just short of £2k

So absolute disaster
Since getting car back there's been an odd overheating issue, driving above 20mph never occurs but in slow stop/start traffic temp will start to go up and fans can't keep temp down. Had temp sensor changed then thermostat and it seemed to have fixed the issue. Happened again last week so sent the car to local garage who found bubbles in coolant.... Did a chemical test and found combustion gasses. Indicating head gasket failure! :(
Have messaged rich at PAW to see what I'm going to be looking at price wise. Just when I thought the lude was all done and sorted

It's quite rare for the HG to go on the H22 I believe, but these engines are old now so I guess this kind of thing is to be expected. You will be in good hands with PAW

Yeah i was surprised it being the HG but all the symptoms point to that being the case. Car is booked into PAW now. Anyone been here before and tried to arrange transport away from the shop? Looks like without a 2nd car it's quite a pain to get to a train station.

Yeah if it is a job that takes a few hours I just wander into the town or use their wifi and work from their premises. When they need the car for days you either want someone else to bring their car or get a taxi to the train station.

Yep that's the pain with Performance autoworks. Middle of nowhereville.
I get my car transported there on a carrier, much cheaper than taking the day off work and arranging a 2nd car to drive down with me.
