Post by stevo90 » Fri Apr 17, 2020 9:54 pm

evening, been looking for a project for a while now, was having a browse on the old interwebs and this tatty old girl came up, 6 months mot and a lot mere 175k miles on it, advertised for £400 i offered £300 and its now at my yard. the plan is as follows:

Rear arches inner and outer cut out and welded *purchased both sets 12/04/2020*
strip down of all chassis components. subframes and other bits to be sent off for powdercoat.
full underseal with epoxy paint
5 stud conversion, purchased new rear hubs inc bearings 12/04/20
also purchased front uprights, hubs, bearings, front calipers, and atr front caliper carriers 14/04/20
keep an eye out for either motegi bodykit or mugen if i can find
mugen rear ducktail spoiler
s2k seats
ep3 steering wheel. *already have from old track car*
respray pirates black pearl, *cousin is doing this for me*
h22a to be dropped in, *removed from my old accord type r*
coilovers and a set of split rims should finish it off nicely.

plans are to have it ready for april next year , depending on work commitments, flat out at the moment and no signs of slowing down.

here's a pic of the old girl

Awesome! Nice to see another BB9 even if it will have the legendary H22 in one day. I've got a '99 BB9, half the jobs you've planned are very similar to mine! Had the rear arches done (weren't so bad to need new panels but been welded) and my brothers old EP3 steering wheel, brakes and a good bit of maintenance. Currently got a Mugen rep front bumper which I love as its different. And a Buddyclub style rear with an M2 modified backbox. I'm always on the lookout for some 5 lug hubs! Paid £320 for my Lude IIRC, bumpers need some repairs and then its Milano Red respray time as it needs painting along with the rear arches that were welded. Hope to see your progress.

I'm sure @toadster 's paintwork is much nicer than mine.. got a couple bits to sort out.. fibreglass repairs and to replace a few suspension dust covers then it's getting resprayed!
