Brilliant car.
Disagree with Nitin, one colour would be boring and the current paint scheme looks fab, IMO! :D
Think I'd prefer there to be a heatshield between the exhaust and the fuel tank...
Definitely agree the current wheels are wide enough - definitely needs wider or more offset so they fill the arches.
The mass of mud build up on the top of the inside wings, shows precisely why arch liners are a good thing :D
I've got some ideas on the colour, it'll be 2 colours but the second will be subtler (if thats even a word!)
The heatsheild is a good shout thanks, I'll take a look at that when I refit it all back.
I'm looking at 20 x 10 for the rear with a 0 offset, it'll have to be made up of a 25mm 4 to 5 stud conversion as you can't find any 19 or 20 inch wheels with this PCD and then an et25 offset on the wheel - that should give it enough to fill the arch better.
Haha yeah - I'm not going to make new ones, just going to seal and Raptor all of the arches and floor properly - it should give it more than enough protection then...

I'd second this, since my rear heatshield fell off - after a track day I could not believe just how hot the boot floor was under the carpet. I suspect next time I look it will have just rusted into a big hole :( Another job for the summer...

Out of interest, what are the current wheels and what are your plans for them?

They're Arospeed RS GT 7x19 - I have provisionally sold them, pending collection though

Planned on taking the rear out today, including the tank, exhaust, lines, etc. Took both corners out and the front end felt a bit heavy on the ramp....ended up strapping the back end down and then taking the front end out

Some serious strippage going on...

How did you come by the car, BTW? Where was it advertised?

Yeah I’m taking it right back and rebuilding as best as I can.

Facebook. It was one of the Max Power groups.

It’ll be next year, I wanted to get it stripped down quickly to see what I was working with. I’ve got some better ideas now which is cool. I’ve got to finish my mothers TVR resto before I get stuck into this properly
