It took a week to burn off all the oil that was sprayed everywhere by the split o-ring and the stuff I spilt when changing it over. A few days after swapping it over me and Vanzep went for a blast in our cars and I had white oil smoke escaping from my front wheel wells but there was no oil on the ground under the car.

All is good now though as it has all burnt off and no longer stinks. But I have something squeaking and rattling on the rear of the car so going to have to sort that now

Not bad price! Hope it sorts the rattling :)

Ebay ;)

Last night didn't go to plan :( The OEM drop links were rusted solid, no chance of getting them off as the OEM ones dont have a bit on the rear to hold it with a spanner like the Delphi ones do. The nut was rounding. We were going to take the angle grinder to it but I noticed that my fuel tank drain bolt was leaking. It seems that one side of the rear of my car is sitting lower than the other side, probably the reason why the car feels like the wheels are out of alignment. And to top it off my key decided it doesn't want to work properly any longer. It is so worn that it is difficult to start the car, although I just swapped it for my spare key.

What's causing it to sit lower? Twisted arb? Suspension not adjusted equally?

 I thought oem lude drop links had an Allen key hole in the end of the balljoint, so you could hold it steady while undoing the nut?

No idea what is going on. I'll have more time at the weekend to investigate further. Yeah the OEM links do have the Allen key hole on it but the threaded rod and nut are so rusted that it isn't strong enough to allow me to get it off. They are more than likely the ones fitted in the factory so are very old. Angle grinder!
