More maintenance! Steve managed to save my car once again as it had two classic Lude problems; leaking power steering fluid at the cooler and leaking fuel near the tank, although more like pissing fuel :lol:

Steve looped the PAS lines at the cooler and replaced the fuel lines where the hard line bridges two soft lines up near the tank. The main fuel line had 3 jets of fuel coming out of it while, what I assume is, the fuel vapor return line was split too.

Yup. We did the same fix to the 4th gen a few years back too.

Also that is just the pressure from having the fuel pump prime, the engine is not running.

it might have leaked less with the engine running as the fuel is dragged through there is less static pressure in the lines but glad its fixed wouldnt have been nice it the whole lot had gone up

Two of my Rainsport 3's have worn out so I have gone with a pair of Davanti DX640 on the rear. They are wet weather tyres like the Rainsports. In 215/45/17 each tyre was half the price of a Rainsport 3.

Early customer feedback is said to have been “exceptional”. For example, Darren Crookes from Tyre Doctor in Sunderland said: “The Davanti DX640’s I recently fitted to my Seat Leon are the best tyres I’ve ever tried. The all weather grip provided a really responsive drive, particularly when cornering. They gave me total confidence, there’s no movement at all even going round roundabouts. The dynamic design also minimises noise for a really smooth ride. They look great as well which is a bonus!”

The brand launched with the release of the Davanti DX640 and DX390. The DX640 is an ultra-high performance passenger and SUV tyre dynamically designed for maximum grip, and the DX390 is a high performance tyre offering a fuel efficient and comfortable drive.

The DX640 and DX390 will be available in a range of sizes and fitments and will be closely followed by the DX420, designed specifically for Hackney Carriages and the DX440 a rugged van tyre to be released later in the year.

According to the company, each Davanti tyre design has been carefully developed using a combination of 3D computerised simulation, track testing and in-house testing laboratory.
