Cheers Bud !
Wrecking the other bumper did give me the chance to make the bumper I was thinking about for a while now.
Been reading alot about aero and this combo ( big airdam with large splitter) gives a very good downforce component and minimum drag.

What you thinking about doing?

I'm currently using a hiro splitter as its nice and low and flat around the bottom to meet the splitter, ive also modified the fog light recesses for a air ducts to the brakes but can't see the lip lasting in all honesty.

That Hiro splitter is more like a front front lip right or do u have the splitte sticking out? an airdam is proven to be more effective thats why I prefer my current bumper instead of fixing my old.
My brakes do not need more air (yet) so will only have the oilcooler and intake vents for now.

New LCA's going in!
Custom Kinkpin machine spherical bearings!

Got them from a great guy in the USA via the prelude racing group.
He delivered them personaly!

Really curious how they feel.

Anyone here tried them?

71dsp here in the states uses a spherical suspension setup just like the one you're about to install. I've been interested in doing so as well, however I just installed the ES kit 2 years ago and have yet to break 5,000 miles on them.

How long did you go until the inners began to fail as shown above? I found some design flaws with the ES bushings during installation, but was at the point of no return and without other options at the time.

I prefer your previous mad one off bumper tbh.
Pita about the blow-by, hope it's nothing serious. And yet more rep for keeping going with it all!

Don't Really know tbh. Think it happened when I modified my tractionbar and tried to get it to max caster.
It really messedup the sides.
ES is fine, never would have changed it untill these came up for sale. Will let you know what the difference is.

Cheers wurly,
The fitment of the "new" bumper is much better. Just installed a cooling plate and nostrils and it looks much better. With a good front splitter it will look good.
Hopefully my friend will be able to fix the widebody bumper but this is the setup Im going for on the track!

It will get even better. More aero. But first need to get the suspention setup and my driving skills improved!

Here are some pics..

First of all I moved the oilcooler so it sits infront of the hole in my bumper and made a duct around it.
It sits against my bumper, the top part is actually on the bumper itself.

I fitted another vent in the bonnet , made two braces so it wouldnt sag in anymore and aplied heat reflective sheet and aluminium tape. I will add some gold tape just above the manifold.

vent is not the prettiest but he..... function over form

then I made a coolingplate and fitted te nostrils.
Just look how much better it fits than the other bumper

Its still quick release... just had to have the sticker :ugeek:

And remember the holes in my rear bumper?
It was made by the previous owner and was covered by a carbon plate. it was nice but didnt fit the car.
Found some old vents laying around so decided to fit them.
I have some crazy aero plans but like I said before fine tune and lear first.. Aero is no substitute for skill

happy how it looks now.. might spray it adn the nostrils mat black ...

thoughts????

Also nearly finished the Accusump installation. Re-fabricating the starter panel as I want the valve to be controled manual.
And a splitter will be build next week!

till next time!
