Julienh's BB9
Julienh's BB9
Get ready, I hope you like pics !
Hi everybody,
In addition of my presentation, here is my BB9 prelude from the day I bought it to today !
This one was my first car, a corolla 1.4 88Ch liftback (first time with japanese cars ) :
(this is the right one )
and the Prelude, just after the purchase :
I replaced the catalytic converter :
how shiny it was 4 years ago
Then a guy sold his Prelude for parts, so... I bought a black leather interior !
The driver seat needed a little sewing...
I disassembled the seat to remove the leather part :
F***ing little metal circles !
Why is the foam subsiding ?
Nearer, foam is torn :
After repair the leather needed to be cleaned :
Marseilles soap !
Black is practical as you can't see it's dirty !
The cleaned part is already clean, gloss isn't :
final result :
I applied Meguiar's gold class cuir to protect.
OEM Honda fog lights :
My doorsills, obviously not the original ones but those were made by a guy who could laser-cut aluminium plates :
Here is my H23 intake header :
after a bit of cleaning :
The F20A4 intake was quite clean, barely a little oil...
Engine bay with all the marks
and the #£¤~$% gasket !!! Took me hours to remove it....
Finally fitted :
Nice plugs
I also replaced my clutch master/slave (it leaked) because it gave my trouble to shift correctly :
the fluid I removed from the tank :
What the clutch lines contained :
The leaking master :
and his friend

Re: Julienh's BB9
Front upper strut bar (Megan racing, quality ) :
the fitting of the rear one is not really "plug'n'play" :
to give an idea of the metal amount I had to remove (I love my grinder ) to fit this bar (normally the 2 circles were concentric) :
H-shapped holes :
done !
perfect !
Koni shocks (-2cm front, -1.5cm rear)
New brakes and calipers (H23) 260mm -> 282mm :
before
after
rear disc really needed to be changed !
before :
after :
/my-wheels-are-disgusting-proof
It's alive !!!
Replacing the power steering fluid (I guess it was the first time )
Rear wheel bearing was a bit loud
My new wheels being powdercoated
center cap :
painting :
and with the tyres !
[/quote]
Replaced the neiman contactor (the motor was stopping while driving , very dangerous...)
inside :
I painted my old wheels (the ones with winter tyres)
you may not like, it i'll understand
The Sebring silencer and the type-S airbox :
and that's all for now
