Or not so much the speakers, but the wiring!..
As these are components they have a crossover and two runs of wire as it were, as there's a send and return - The original spec in the lude has a resistor in-line on the tweeters I believe, but obviously I wanted to bypass that. So I ran the tweeters direct from the crossovers as they are easy access form under the dash and cut into the din HU-loom connector, sent the woofer return back to the splice, i.e. into the oem woofer loom.
I've run separate thicker speaker cable to the doors before, through the original loom pipe, but these days I'm trying to keep things simple and effective, and at a point that I'm happy with......or in truth I'd quickly end up back in the mindset and be looking for a MacIntosh HU like @rattymcclellands and about a grands worth of speakers and cables... :lol:

Ratty, oh yes the hifi mindset is a cavernous one from which there is rarely any escape.. When I was working in it, I had every quid spent on the next 'upgrade' six months before I'd earned it.

wish id taken the mid console when i had a chance :x - the sexblocker looks good but seriously makes getting anything done in the back a total pain - i was sealing up the rear washer jet today (inside and out)and managed to pull a couple of muscles in my neck and shoulder :lol:
good choice of cds got two of them loaded in my BB1 ;)
