I've heard of them randomly twitching mid high speed corner.

When 4ws is disabled only a stiff spring holds it straight. Ok for normal driving. Not for a track.
Get it working or 2ws conversion.

The rear wheels are not locked in place when the 4ws is 'disabled' they can turn on their own when cornering hard resulting in loosing control and a big epic crash. If you want it to be just 2ws, you need to remove the 4ws subframe and fit a 2ws.

Stongly recommend you get the 4ws working again for your own safety.

If they just reverted straight ahead safely people would just pull a fuse instead of going to the trouble of swapping over to a 2WS subframe.
