Not much has changed on my car so no real updates I do have some new parts to fit when i get chance tho.

Thought i'd just copy my thread over from PUK-

Well, i've been on here for ages now and still haven't got a profile thread

I bought the car 4 years ago, total standard one owner from new 60k on the clock, full Honda service history. 2.0 manual in supermarine blue, black cloth interior.

Since i've bought it its had:

Tein Superstreet dampers (Lowest height setting)
17" Lenso RS5 rims
Stainless exhaust
Full red half leather interior fitted
Rocker cover and other engine bits matt blacked
'H' badges front and back sprayed white
Bodywork AutoGlym lifeshined
Brand new OEM calipers all round

Red interior looks good against the blue body.

Yes it did, I missed it but now the Type-S interior is just too sexy.

I have quite a bit of spare carbon fibre wrap left from doing my CRX, and I always wanted a few bits of my interior either carbon or a carbon effect. So I decided to make a start....

Items needed:

1. Your desired wrap - I used a 3M '3D' carbon fibre wrap, its not just printed onto a sheet, it actually has texture and feel to it. Looks great.
2. Heatgun
3. A Stanley knife or arts and craft knife
4. Foam edge squeegy
5. Ruler
6. Pen/pencil
7. Patience

***Make sure the trim to be wrapped is washed and completely clean and dry. And when using the heatgun, don't over heat the vinyl as it will melt***

I started with my stereo surround first...



Obviously I started by cutting the vinyl to size, peel the backing off and stick the surround down.





Using the squeegy stick the vinyl to all the flat areas making sure you force all the air bubbles out, then for the corners and curves gently heat the vinyl - this increases the flex of the vinyl and allows it to 'mould' around any curves.

Trim the edges and wrap around the back of the surround.









Next, trim the holes for the centre sections of the surround...



Heat the corners and squeegy around the insides, heat the whole trim once done, this makes the adhesive go a bit stickier and once cooled gives more secure fit. Done!




Next I tackled the centre console surround. Remove the whole centre console from the car...



Flip it over, and the screws attaching the surround to the centre console are located underneath...



Undo the screws and out pops the surround...



Under the surround you will find the screws to remove the tray in the middle of the surround....



Cut the vinyl to size...



Oakley decided to come and lend a hand...



Same as the stereo surround, peel the backing off the vinyl and stick the trim to it...



Stick all the flat areas down. Again, heat to make the vinyl fit around any curves...







Sliced my thumb on the knife



Plasters FTW!



Dillon also came to help...



Trim and tuck the vinyl behind the trim...



Trim the centre sections out, heat and secure...



Put the centre console back together...





Centre console and stereo surround fitted back into the car...










Next job is to remove the door switch surrounds and wrap those.

Oakley and Dillon look amazing.

Yer err not bad effort of the wrapping too.
Seriously though looks perfect. If prefer it lacquered though but thats just me (que the love match song)

I did think about lacquering it, but it looks sweet as it is
