I agree /\

Always cheers me up with what can be done.

Most people wouldn't find the rust you have, but the bits they would find would defeat them and sell up. Nothing seems to phase you - love it. It's getting to the point where you could eat your dinner of it!

I have to admit though, seeing some of the rust on peoples ludes, makes me realise how lucky mine is - albeit mine is a UK, so not sure what additional treatment they got - but the underside looks fairly good.

What silver paint do you use on all the things you tidy up? Is it something like Hammerite from a spray can? Like on the fuel tank access.

Cheers,

Rob

Thanks for the kind words guys.

I was at the scrappers the other week pulling bits off a UK Lude, and I remember looking at the floor and thinking it was 'mint' in comparison to where mine started off. If only mine had been like that from the start, I'd be finished by now.

Nuc - I mainly use Hammerite direct to metal brush on these days, though I thin it first as it gives better coverage over pitt marks and the brush marks flow out leaving a nice finish. Though, for experimentation, I have used different paint systems in different places (Electrox, Rust Bullet and others) and time will tell what is the best.......

Thanks bud, I'm painting a few engine parts and want some tried and tested experience I guess. Don't want paint chipping or flaking off. As long as there is a good key the hammerite / other similar brands should hold up I think.

Keep it up bud! :D

Rep'd ya - you are worthy!

Not gold, but I did almost paint them that colour. Bought from a guy in Manchester.
