Welcome to LG buddy there's a lot of people on here with a keen eye for spotting new ludes popping up for sale, post up your budget and I'm sure we will find something suitable

Haha yeah im getting that picture mate :p i like crazy forums though, they are the most active haha. Well as i said above im going to look for a well looked after one with decent mileage and service history then chuck about 2 grand into it to do timing belt, pump and tensioners, a full honda service and with whatever s left, try get a nice exhaust, a decent cold air feed system and some alloysprahunt wrote:Welcome along.
They're all crazy on here. And extremeky knowledgable. Haha
Plenty of 4th Gens about. Just depends what style/condition you want.
They are brilliant though. Beyond belief!!

3G is the one with the pop up lights right? If so, im not overly keen on the popup lights, i adore the front end of the 4G though so i think ill stick to 4G, thanks though mate for the welcomeprelude91 wrote:Welcome, find a good 3g and you won't be disappointed

Ha! thats top, on the FTO forums i was the only one in the northwest haha :p glad to hear im not on my own :p and i may come down to the meet anyways and take a look around, but defaintely saving up for a bit before i get one.Drax wrote:woop another member from the north westget a prelude before next month as there's a jdm north meet at Oulton park you could make
we'll find you a good 4g don't worry, any particular requests or spec?
Atm im not looking for a particular spec, ide like it to be near standard to put my own mark on it and well looked after, but as i said, most of the money i save will be to get jobs done on the car once ive bought her so i dont need to worry about them, usually what i do on cars anyway

Thanks matenitin_s1 wrote:Welcome to LG.

So a question to all, How much roughly would an engine rebuild cost if i sourced the parts? Because if i get one with 110k + mileage i might get a rebuild done. Is there a Lude specialist i could take the car to on here? or around? i dont mind having to travel, im in the process of building a car trailor and i have my transit van to pull it.

TBH unless there is something glaringly wrong with the engine I would leave it well alone. Over 100,000 miles is nothing to fear. Engine wear is the least of your problems when owning a 20 year old Prelude. Rust, worn suspension / duff ball joints and bushes, old fluids are the things to focus on IMO.Merlin wrote:So a question to all, How much roughly would an engine rebuild cost if i sourced the parts?
