Welcome, welcome :)

Electrical faults can be a pain the backside eh? Hope you nail it down without much trouble.

Sounds like you have a pretty good idea of what you're doing, but you've probably noticed there's loads of expertise on here if needed.

I would say "Sod the rest of it, just get it mobile and the motivation will come once you're enjoying it". However, I have a feeling you're way ahead of me on that one... Good luck :D

Thanks! North west Leicestershire. Near Markfield. Plenty of countryside to blast a car like this around ;)

I'd never really thought that much about the condition but I suppose for an 18 year old car it's solid.

My first car was a 1990 Citroen ax gt. Great first car, lots of fun, but was built like a typical French biscuit tin in comparison to the prelude!

Thanks! Yes I think you're right, if I get it through the MOT and stick some tax on it that after a bit of driving I will get bitten by the tinkering bug and start to improve it gradually.

Fingers crossed on the electrical stuff. I've made a few feeble attempts to fix the issue before but always got distracted by something else. I hope it won't be too much of a pain but rest assured i shall be back here for advice in a flash once it gets tricky :)

Seriously though, it's got a couple of bubbles but its hardly crumbling off in chunks like some I've seen. I do think the sill covers and arch rubber trims trap water though. :|
yeah the arch trims especially. a lot of us Luders remove them, like you say, they trap a lot of crap in there

It's with rsa echoice using my spare three years no claims. Dread to think how low it would be with my original 10 years NCD that I use on my main car. But then I am female so that obviously makes me more sensible so worthy of cheaper insurance ;)

It's blue...pacific blue I believe is the correct description

Your car does look very nice. Just noticed one thing though, your wheels are fitted to the wrong side of the car. They should be rotating in the other direction.

Haha I know!! It was like this when I bought it but it took me a few months to notice the error! But cause the tyres are directional it would be a bit of effort to swap them around. If I have them refurbed (perhaps white?) then I'd correct this minor crime of having them rotating the wrong way. Do think it would suit some larger wheels though
