Haha I've been forum-ing for years I know how to work bbcode, although I type is manually rather than clicking any buttons. I use the direct image url - right click and copy image url.

No idea why it isn't showing up for you :[

Can you see my sig? That's hosted on photobucket rather than Facebook.

I can see your sig, it's cool.. but I can also see pics hosted on facebook - in fact, I started a thread about a manifold test a few minutes ago and I got that pic from FB..
It's ok, I'll just imagine that you have one fly 'Deck ;)

It's a manual Becca. According to howmanyleft.co.uk it's the last '86 EXi manual left on the road. It's quite rusty around the sills and arches but it's only got 76,000 miles and it's FSH. I call him 'Dexter' by the way. :D

I didn't realise they did an 86 injection model! Mine's an 86 EX manual, with 44k on the clock :) was bought by a woman from new, then she emigrated to Aus and kept it here to drive when she was back, then went to some lad, who sold it to his mate, who I then bought it from! Still has the plastic sticker protecting the 'coin' tray lettering and everything. Going to feel bad modifying it in a way...

Makes me realise how poo my 1993 Polo is... No power steering [speed variable or not!], no electric windows, no electric sunroof, no headlight washers or aircon, no ALB, I was lucky to get the injection engine tbh! And none of those things listed were even options on it. Honda were so ahead of the rest.

Although, I hate the ALB. It feels like a kid learning to drive...

So the 'deck is almost original??! ...and possibly the only manual one left in the UK?

I remember your car on eBay a few months back, it had a set of 17" rims at the time if I remember correctly. Seems like you've got yourself a real low mileage baby there. It's always a worry making mods on cars like that but I reckon you're safe with subtle and possibly reversible ones.

Mine is going to be very mildly tweaked and that's it ... nothing drastic.

I had a breadvan Polo a few years ago. A 1988 Mk2 1.3 5-speed. Scruffy as hell, bought for £100 from eBay. I ran it for two years, got nearly 50mpg and only spent £47 maintaining it then sold it on for £250. No luxuries at all but it really did the job for me. :)

I sold it to buy my first Honda ... there was no turning back after that.
