Oh yes, have had two since this post :D First an auto Prelude, which I absolutely loved, but things ended up in tears (documented in another post), followed by a non-Honda, which I tried hard to love but haven't been able to. Now looking for another Lude again :vtec:

Aye. Currently investigating the import option for a low-mileage, completely rust free beauty. Quite a few pound signs, but when the idea is to keep it for years and years, might be worth the spend.

I keep looking but nothing has peaked my interest sufficiently to go through with it.

£5000 will get you a 2.2 Si manual 5th gen with 12,000 KM on the clock. That is the nearest you will find to buying a brand new Prelude in 2017...

Great site, thanks for the tip! Have you bought from there by any chance? Does it say how much extra it is for shipping etc.?

I went through Torque GT, who were superb. But I'm sure if you could find someone on not necessarily a Prelude forum, but any Jap forum who has done it themselves they can advise you and you would save money. My guess is you have to add at least a grand to that to get it shipped over. Then registration costs etc. The big thing with doing it yourself is not having someone on the ground over there to trust, but the auction reports if you can get them translated are very picky and stringent on the quality.
