My First Ever VTEC!!!

Hi, I've finally got round to registering lool
Im now officially the owner of a 98 2.2 Vtec and so far I love it!!!! I picked it off gumtree for only £850 with FSH and MOT till august with 146k on the clock. However from the way it feels and looks, you wouldn't be able to tell!!

Image

Background ::: Let me tell you guys about where i'm from and how I ended up here loool:

My name is Pratik, I'm 20, and i'm from London. My Prelude is the 10th car I've owned since passing my test.

Previous cars in order owned:

00" Fiesta Zetec with ZetecS 1.6 conversion running 103bhp - Now sitting in uncles Driveway
55" 206 1.6 XSi which was stock - SOld
53" 206 GTi running 165bhp with Cat Cams - Crashed it lool
04" RX8 231PS running 240bhp - SOld
52" BMW 735i with LPG running on 7 cylinders xD - SOld
60" Polo GTi 6R Running stage 1+, dyno'd at 230bhp!! - SOld
54" RX8 192PS Stock - Sold
93" Supra MK4 N/A show car running 260BHP - As of this post is for sale on eBay!!
98" Audi A4 B5 1.9tdi AFN Stage 1 140bhp - Sold
98" Prelude VTi 2.2 - Current daily drive :)

I've never had much luck with modifying cars as I either get tired of it or end up breaking it lool
My Polo ended up needing an engine rebuild because a spark plug melted and the 206 GTi didn't have TCS xD

This time however I plan on maintaining the Prelude as I guenuinely love the way it drives!! I've never had a car that can take corners as quick as this!!

Just for the record: RX8'S DO NOT HANDLE AS WELL!!!! I know from experience!!!

Current Mods:

Lowered 40mm all-round on Spax springs
17" Enkei Alloys ( Not sure of the make, would be greatful if someone could let me know)
Stainless Steel induction pipe with pod filter
Longlife cat-back exhaust
kenwood single din radio

My plans are to fix up the body work and either go FI or just use it as a daily drive with a bit of jazz to it
So far I am finding it hard to source parts to go turbo so it might not happen. Would appreciate a bit of help with this. I really miss the way my polo would through me back with low rpm torque.

Will start a project page soon with more pics!!

Welcome to the club Pratik :) And what a first car to introduce you to Vtec! Glad to see you opted for the Prelude rather than the usual Civic route... You've obviously got a sense of class ;)

Pop up a closer pic of your rims. The brand is Enkei (They quite often make OEM rims, and are very reputable), but I'm sure we'll be able to identify the model.
