Silver 5th gen Goodness treated bad

Hello.
My name is Jim, mid thirties and showing it, i currently own a 97 lude 5th gen, i picked up this 120k humdinger for what i consider to be a song with the thought of using it till the tax ran out, an oil change and a quick squirt of Shells finest beverage and i love it and so the long and expensive road to recovery begins. i did this with my last beast, a nice little Aerodeck, before that a lovely MX3 and before that a poo box of an astra, in fact the list of cars i have owned is fairly endless and if i add up all the money i have spent on them i could quite easily afford a decent car, i dunno a Daewoo Matiz maybe or a Corsa!
Of course i jest, old Japanese cars are my greatest passion and what i lack in skill i make up for in enthusiastic spending trying to put things i screwed up right.
there will shortly be a list of things i need and things i don't.
if at any point i ask a moronic question, hang in there, it won't be worth it.
Props (if thats the right positive enforcement) to the ebay seller dw_auto_parts for selling me a life saving pair of brake discs and pointing me in this sites direction, i can only surmise he/she is a member on here! Great chap.
anyhoo theres a few lines about some stuff, pics of the poor 'Smudgie' (its name) to follow, i have from before i touch it to now but want to get the discs on before i show and tell!
in a while crocodiles..........
