Hello 1st Gen from Glasgow
Hello 1st Gen from Glasgow
Hello, I have owned this 1st Gen Prelude for 4 years, it is an 1982 Executive which featured Canyon Gold paint with Connolly leather interior and power steering over the standard model. It has a 3 speed Hondamatic gearbox and the EL14 1602cc engine. It has done 78,500 miles about 20,000 of which have been done in my ownership.
It had been sitting in a barn for 8 years then on a trailer for 2 years when I bought it, once the deal was agreed it was MOT'd and driven back to Glasgow from Bournemouth, never missed a beat! From then on it's been a great car to own, only major issue was finding a replacement carburettor, it now has a weber instead of the original keihin. It had a sport exhaust fitted last year and the stereo was updated.
Very recently decided it was time for a few updates, got King Springs sent over from Australia to lower the car by 35mm, added Rota Beat 15x8" wheels and had the car fully resprayed in the original Canyon Gold.

Thanks for the welcome and the comments,
I really like the wheels, they're age appropriate and a bit different, all down to personal taste in the endSailor wrote:I'm not so keen on the wheels, but what a good car otherwise!
I do like 1st Gens and that looks like a great example.
Nice one ...
... and welcome.

It is not an 8 track but a modern USB cd player designed to look like a retro player, will keep my eye open for upcoming events, if any, bad time of year I suppose.prahunt wrote:WOW stunning example of a 1st Gen!! Such top condition.
I'm in love with the ultimate retro dash as well, and it that an 8 track player?
Stunning car. Would love to see this at some meets.
