New Owner, 3G Facelift
New Owner, 3G Facelift
Hi, I'm Jay from London. Picked up my first 3G couple of days ago. Did have a 4G 2.2 VTi Manual many years ago.
Have owned a few Civic MB6 VTi S, had a Civic Jordan. Love Hondas! Also own a few classic accords but they are in storage. My other car that is my daily is an E46 M3 Vert.
Anyway here she is the night i got her:
Not sure if the previous owner is on here but she's got 60k on the clock & in quite good condition bar the paintwork. No rust, underside very clean also no rust.
Initial plan was to keep it OEM, full resparay & get rid of these alloys for factory ones. Slight change of plan because the ride height is awful. Need to go lower. That brings me on to my first piece of advice: What springs or coilovers have people gone for on their 3G?
Here's my other toy that I've had for a little while:
Hope you enjoyed the pics.
Cheers
Jay

Surprisingly, for an old car she doesn't need much. The exhaust is blowing on the down pipe & flexi so need to sort that out, then going to get the car detailed. Inside, it's already mint.Greg wrote: Friend! So what have you got in store for the ole' girl?
Want to lower the car but not too sure what springs are good, if it was a BMW I'd know but not really modified any of my Hondas. Iv seen springs on eBay like Kilen for £113 which give a 30mm drop but i want the front slightly lower than the rear so might have to cut the front slightly if thats advisable?

That's what I had on my red one in the pics it did rake slightly they were extremely stiff and made for a jarred ride with 17" wheels. It didn't bother me though if you fit Tokico Blue shocks with them it made them a whole lot better. I've a couple of BMW's E61 530d M-Sport and E85 3.0I Z4 Then I also have 2 Land Rover's one V8 and one TD5
