hi nick, have you tried swapping the distributor with another one? as they are a common issue on ludes and it could be the problem here by the sounds of it

Hi Nick,

If the car bump starts you have a spark and fuel!

Try charging the battery, chargers are quite cheap and handy to have.

If battery is fully charged and it still wont start then it will be the starter that needs checking out.

Welcome, by the way.

Pete

and the green arrows show the 3x bolts holding it in place.

Pete could be right though, try charging the battery first, then it could be the starter motor (located under the distributor) or the distributor itself.

best to parts from another prelude someone may have, not sure if there's a fellow London'er on here who could help...

If it starts and runs with a bump,, then there is nothing wrong with the dizzy.

Battery or starter motor.

Hi and welcome, think most of the guys have covered everything to be checking first most of these guys are well versed on all things lude and would follow their advice on the process of elimination. Battery then starter im sure there are a few breaking in London on here. Ash and Arif possibly best bet?
