I think I'm going to pass on this one as there's too many inconsistencies within the advert. He says it's never had any MOT advisories but an online check shows it actually failed last year and seems to have had regular advisories around the suspension.

He also fails to mention he only bought it last month and then there's all the things you've brought up, just feels like a bodged job.

Im shocked more people don't know about the access to MOT history online.

I have been looking at a few motors recently came across one I probably wont forget for a while. 2.2 CDTI Honda Accord fairly low mileage for the age and looked decent.

Checked the history and had 2 pages (on phone) worth of failures.

https://www.gumtree.com/p/honda/2005-ho ... 1298600859

I quote "needs some brake/suspension work to pass"

and the list

Reason(s) for failure
•Nearside Front Windscreen washer provides insufficient washer liquid (8.2.3)
•Offside Front Windscreen washer provides insufficient washer liquid (8.2.3)
•Nearside Rear rear parking brake recording little or no effort (3.7.B.6a)
•Offside Rear rear parking brake recording little or no effort (3.7.B.6a)
•Rear Rear fog lamp not working (1.3.2b)
•Offside Rear Stop lamp not working (1.2.1b)
•Nearside Rear Rear position lamp(s) not working (1.1.A.3b)
•Nearside Rear brake disc modified and seriously weakened (3.5.1n)
•Offside Rear brake disc modified and seriously weakened (3.5.1n)
•Nearside Front Headlamp aim beam image obviously incorrect (1.8.A.1b)
•Offside Front Headlamp aim beam image obviously incorrect (1.8.A.1b)
•Nearside Front Tyre tread depth below requirements of 1.6mm (4.1.E.1)
•Offside Front Tyre tread depth below requirements of 1.6mm (4.1.E.1)
•Offside Rear Tyre tread depth below requirements of 1.6mm (4.1.E.1)
•Nearside Front Suspension arm has excessive play in a pin/bush (2.4.G.2)
•Offside Front Suspension arm has excessive play in a pin/bush (2.4.G.2)
•Parking brake: efficiency below requirements (3.7.B.7)
•Front Brakes imbalanced across an axle Axle 1 (3.7.B.5b)

Advisory notice item(s)
•Offside Front brake disc modified but not seriously weakened (3.5.1n)

JUST BE HONEST PEOPLE

Well after a bit of looking around a drove home today in an electric blue 5th gen Motegi. It needs a few bits doing to it but it's only covered 68,000 miles and I'm more than happy with the purchase. Will get pics up as soon as I've given it a good clean.
