Hey guys just happened to acquire a 5th gen prelude. Looks a little bit worse for wear but is a 99 with only 101k. Has a few issues shall we say. One being the paintwork is a little bit faded. Missing the air box pipe hose thingy due to previous owner fitting a cone filter right above the engine and has an aftermarket exhaust on it, however this will be gone back to standard by end of the month. Anyways just thought I'd drop by and say hello.

welcome to LG
sounds like you have the airbox that has the small dynamic chamber so its pipe, mid box, pipe and then the air box - when you say the first pipe i take it you mean the pipe that fits to the throttle body
a nice upgrade would be the 5th gen oem type s intake
fairly sure that any 4th or 5th gen oem intake would fit but there are some differences
might be a bit tricky to find the pipe you are after - if you can find a breakers that has a prelude in you might get lucky :)
lankysod might be able to help

maybe get a pic of the intake you have or whats left of it....

Hey, no if your looking at the airbox its the one that goes from the airbox to the second part like its split in two, hard to describe. have looked on ebay but all they offer is stupid flexi things that look fairly cheap in my opinion, bare in mind that the car does sound pretty epic with the cone filter on it along with that big exhaust but i dont like it especially when my cars my daily.

Get a photo up and let us know. I have my original air intake setup where I switched to a type S style, so may have what you need.

Oh and welcome! :D
