Hi all.

I'm Richard from Ipswich. I've owned (and still have) quite a collection of cars. I currently own the following:

* 1990 Corolla Gti
* 1991 Corolla GL Saloon
* 1992 Corolla GL Hatchback
* 2001 Mercedes ML 270cdi
* 2004 Mercedes E55 AMG
* 2002 BMW 330ci Convertable
* 2002 Mercedes C200k
* 1999 Saxo VTS Track Car

When I get into conversations about my favourite car that I've owned without a doubt it was my 1994 Prelude VTEC. It was the first one here in Ipswich, reg L842 BBJ. I've had much faster cars but I loved the way the prelude felt and how it encouraged use of the VTEC.

So the time has come to find another. It must be a UK car, manual, low mileage, unmodified and in great condition. Who can help me?

4Gs will come up occasionally, but generally not standard and low mileage/good condition is pretty hard to find these days.

Best place is to set up an alert on gumtree and ebay and schpock possibly - seem to get a few pop up on there that seem more unmolested than most.

Good shout regarding schpock. I monitor all the usual places closely.

Depending on your budget your could ask Torque GT to source you one from Japan? They do still come up occasionally.

Hi ya and welcome :) Decent sized car collection there.

As said many times, these cars do indeed tend to have a special hold over people :D

4th gens like that are indeed starting to become rare, but do occasionally turn up, although you may be waiting a while. Rear arch rot isn't the end of the world - replacement panels can now be sought so worth considering a car that is otherwise in good condition (will give you a few more options/search not take quite as long).

There's been a couple of good condition standard 4g's on eBay before Christmas, not sure if they've been snapped up yet or awaiting a relist - they were around 3/4k as far as I remember

Hi and welcome.

A rust free UK car is gonna be hard to find. and if you do be prepared to pay £3K upwards. Theres plenty of rusty high milers out there for £500+ but clean ones are now starting hold a price tag
