They are quite hard to price, but when a good one comes up for sale, it sells. I paid 7k for my fresh import. Another nice one sold recently which had been laid up for a while but had a sort of light restoration carried out, I think that was up for 6k and sold fairly quickly.

On the other end of the scale you could come across one with rusty arches and in need of a respray, these would probably only go for a couple of grand or less. I would argue you end up spending more in the long run with cars like this but each to their own and all that.

In regards to a UK red top, these obviously come up more often. You should be able to get a top example for 3 or 4k.

Have you a budget in mind? What civic have you got?

it is a 2012 honda civic, worth about 5,500, was that price after all the work carried out on your car , ie under sealed, mot, km to mph, derestricted, or was that extra.

It was 81k miles. Had a genuine mugen manifold on as well and was a grade 4b, which is very good. I highly recommend Torque GT, have a chat with Darren at Torque GT :)

Another recommendation for Torque gt. However if you are importing one fresh the process can take 6 months minimum.
My import on my S660 from start to finish was 7 months.
Sometimes the have stock like Mikes Type S which was already in the country.

I also have a Type S but not a Type S.

Yes that is a good point regarding the time, Torque GT happened to get one in stock, they only buy stock cars if they come across something hard to pass up on. I was already in touch with Torque GT at the time about importing a DC5, but when I went to see the Type S in the flesh, it won me over.
